Me Time

Every day we are pulled in a million directions.

Demands at work, family needs, to do lists, worries….. It is important to remember that you also have needs of your own. Forgetting this can leave you feeling exhausted, stressed, and not in a good place to be who you want to be for the people around you and for yourself.

Remember to take a few moments each day to do something just for you. Something that makes you truly and genuinely smile. It could be as simple as taking a long bath, listening to a favourite song, basking in the sunlight coming through your window with a good book, or even a few minutes of just sitting quietly and listening closely to your own breath.

It is a paradox that taking some time and setting it aside just for yourself will actually make you able to be more present and to be a better person for the people in your life.

What can you do today for yourself that will reenergize you? That will make you smile?
